Shooting John has an ever so slight country sound, not Waylon Jennings big “C” country but perhaps Uncle Tupelo country (or Richard Buckner). The combination of Pedar’s vocals and the subtle arrangements as well as Helena’s backing vocals make this a rare and special band.

Both singles are available with b-sides here and here. More about Shooting John when their debut release is available in Sept.
