Bobby Baby (here and here) has her supporters that’s for sure. I’ve been emailed a couple times this week about the new ep, Loves To Dance, due out today on Red Letter Day Records. I think what I most like about Bobby Baby is her consistency in both her music and her look. She’s always in a 50′s era dress and always has a mysterious air about her in photographs. Even though her music makes use of computers, electronics and various modern techniques her sound is a warm analog blast from some past that never really existed.
On the whole these are loungy love songs. “Later” is one of the standout tracks with it’s lovely acoustic bass and whispery soft vocals. Just stunning. Order Loves To Dance here.
