Svart – Best Unsigned Swedish Indie Pop Band?! (Plus the new record from Billie The Vision & Dancers)

Ok. I need some help on this one. Everything about this band (except the blissfully happy indie pop) is in Swedish. The group’s name is Svart (Söker Spelningar i hela Sverige i sommar) and they site influences like Broder Daniel, Billie the Vision and Dancers and Hello Saferide. How’s that for the holy trinity of Swedish indie rock.

Their debut ep, Älskade Älskade Du Ep, was released this past April and their MySpace page lists a number of upcoming shows in their hometown of Södermanlands. Any help on this band would be appreciated; leave a text or video comment if you have more information. These guys may well be the best unsigned band in Sweden.

In related news Billie The Vision and Dancers have announced the release date for their upcoming record and have added new songs to their MySpace page. The record is called I Used To Wander These Streets and is available as a pre-order from Bengans here.

We just opened the Garage Countdown website in 36 countries for Garage and unsigned bands and their music videos. The Swedish site is now open for upload.

Our aim is to get bands more visibility, access to TV, international fans and record deals.

Swedish summerromantic indie pop performed by five just graduated students and one who still has one year left in the school where you got to be who you were as long as you were not the way you were supposed to be.
Boys belonging to the generation that got to kiss their first girl to a soundtrack of Håkan Hellströms request to the rightful capital of Sweden not to feel any regret for him. Boys that ran under streetlight during summernights, singing along to Midnight Prayer while the heart was ripped apart by the most beautiful they had ever seen. Boys that deprived theit parents all their gooseberries every summer when they were young. Boys that played so that the jeans mum just bought got torn. Boys that gladly would play for another ten years. Boys that have realised there's a red line through love and sorrow. During upper secondary school the red line became Svart.

Worth noticing: Gothenburg really should be the capital of Sweden. It's the best.
"Svart" is the swedish word for black.

My translation sucks, but maybe it's something at least? Even if it's really late.
