It seemed like pure folly to start Swedesplease a few years back. Of course I wondered if the world really needed a Swedish indie pop music blog and also if I was the right person to start it up. And of course the key question was if anyone would read it. Luckily after a few weeks several blogs and Swedish sites linked to Swedesplease and we were off.
That’s all to say that there’s a new blog in town. In fact they’re only one post old, but it’s a pretty cool post and a great idea for a blog (if they can follow through with it). The site’s called Skweeelicious and will seek to explore the curiously strange electronic music known as skweee (pioneered by many Swedish and Scandanavian bands). Check out their first post with songs by skweee heroes Pavan, Randy Barracuda, and Beem.
