Afrobeat inspired soul/jazz/funk jamz from Sweden sounds like an impossible thing to hope for, but at this point, after many years of posting about Swedish music in all its various and sundry forms, I’m prepared to accept nearly anything. As long as it speaks to me.
And the loose improvisational, live-to-tape in-studio jams of Afrobeat Movement from Malmö certainly do speak to me. Maybe not my head but definitely my feet.
