There are a bunch of reasons to post the new single from The Deportees. Of course there are all the obvious reasons like new album, they’re Swedish and I like them but then there are the less obvious reasons. Primary among them is the fact EMI Sweden has released this song to music bloggers. That’s quite a step from a major like EMI and hopefully it’ll loosen the floodgates a bit.
The Deportees remind me of a bunch of contemporary Swedish groups but they remind me the most of the cool blue eyed soul of Montt Mardie.
