The other day when I heard of the demise of the band The Bridal Shop I asked the rhetorical question, “who will save indie pop now?”. I may have found my answer in the Göteborg based group youngfuck. Youngfuck is brand new. Their music is still unpolished and rough around the edges. They played their first gig in late October, but they already have been mentioned on a couple indie pop blogs. Obviously they sound a bit like the Cocteau Twins but with a little added reverb and an occasional display of brute force. They are a trio with two of the members coming from the Swedish groups Second-Hand Furniture and Signed Papercuts.
