Good Morning June. I wish it were June, right now in Chicago it’s 6 degrees. These five guys from Stockholm are good friends with and are opening for Francis in the coming weeks. As a big fan of FGrancis I immediately put Good Morning June to the top of the pile. And good thing too. I like the bands mix of shoegaze with more traditional alt rock. The band’s lead singer is not afraid to stray into Radiohead/Coldplay-like falsetto. Although usually there’s a good deal of reverb added to the mix making the band slightly more experimental sounding. Here’s the song “Servant” from their upcoming debut EP:
