The War Crimes are only nominally Swedish. In fact I don’t think there are any Swedish citizens in the band despite the fact that half the group lives in Stockholm. The band’s new single is “Treatise”. I liked it on first listen (especially because I’m a fan of The Fall and and had just listed to some Mark E. Smith earlier this morning).
The clincher to this song is the end bit where the lead singer speaks this line “Arthur Seaton is my witness and
Woody Guthrie is my grace” while in the background he moans this one “Oh, fuck yeah”. I guess you can download this track and the b-side here.
