If you’ve learned anything over the last four years of reading Swedesplease it’s that I really, really, really like the band Francis. I can’t put my finger on the exact reason why. They somehow successfully mix punk, folk, cabaret and even jazz into a stew that is best served up live. These guys are going to light up SXSW and the town of Austin next week. I fully expect them to come out of SXSW with some serious and well deserved buzz. Good timing too since their debut record is due out in the spring of 2010.
