I wrote about the precursor of this band back in 2009 when I did a post on the band Swedish Shoes. I described that band at the time as: “bedroom pop crooned with just a dash of Morrissey and a little Antony and maybe a dash of Depeche mode (minus the electronics)”. So Swedish Shoes became the new band Pink Nights and not much has changed (perhaps a bit more electronics). I still like their lofi electronic pop sound and am a sucker for the heavily emotional vocals and lyrics.
