Usually a record label’s name has little to do with the content of its recordings. For instance you’d never know that Suburban Home Records in the US is a hard rocking americana label from its name, or that K Records is lofi indie from the Pacific Northwest. But in the case of Nineteen Eighty Records’ new act Kids you could make at least an educated guess about their sound from the label’s name.
“I’m Gonna To Miss You” has the sound of a John Hughes soundtrack or early MTV videos or a night out dancing at the 18+ club.
